101 Dreams
101 Dreams... not the dreams that you have whilst you're sleeping but the dreams that shape your life. The dreams that may seem unachievable, the ones that you secretly think about when you're dissatisfied with where you're at right now. These are the dreams that will feature in this blog and it is my quest to see each one fulfilled.

I'm BACK!!!
Well, after a hiatus of over a year, I'm back! Evidently, I am a rather lazy soul.
Quite a bit of updating to be done, a couple of dreams realised, a few dreams in progress...
More to come!

Flex flex flex.....
I don't think I've ever been all that flexible, even as a child I could never do the splits but I would so love to be able them!
I've joined the gym in an effort to improve my flexibility - yoga should help right? But I'm not very patient - I joined the gym in December and I'm not feeling any closer to doing the splits. Yes I am a bit more flexible (I can pretty much touch my toes now!) and my core strength has improved (go pilates!) but my splits aren't quite there yet. I don't think I'm doing stretches that focus on encouraging the splits.
I have therefore booked into flexibility classes at Bobbi's that specifically focus on working towards that elusive splits.

House (not apartment)
Owning a house - the great Australian dream isn't it? But is it really worth saddling yourself with a massive mortgage for what will most likely be the rest of your life? There's plenty of reasons for and against.
House ownership might have been the first dream that I wrote down, but it won't be the first one that I'll try to achieve. For one thing, I've already saddled myself with a mortgage over a fab apartment. However, I would love to have a yard, and a few more rooms to decorate - hence the desire for a house.
One thing at a time; and though Mr Fifi keeps an eye on any nice houses that might pop up, we aren't actively looking for a house at the moment - we've already got a great home here!

Step Two...
As for the second half of instructions:
The next step is to write each dream at the top of one of the full blank pages that follow. Then over time for each of your Dreams - whenever you're inspired - start to flesh out how you could make it happen. What would it feel like to achieve the dream? Who do you know who has done something similar? What can you learn from them? When would you like to make it happen? Make sketches. Paste pictures or clippings that bring the dream to life for you. For each dream visualise it and be inspired to make it happen.
Consider this journal as a workbook. Scribble in it. Live with it. Take it out and make notes whenever you like. Look back on it. But whatever you do, take time to put yourself first and use it to record your dreams and move you towards achieving whatever it is you want. ~kikki-K

Dream a little dream
101 dreams. How hard can it be? A lot harder than I thought that's for certain. I was quickly stumped - and with less than 20 dreams recorded. Am I so boring and unimaginative that I don't have any dreams to speak of?
This worried me for a while, the fact that maybe I'm so comfortable where I am right now that I no longer have the capacity to dream. But as I thought a little longer, I realised that 101 is actually quite a big number. Nobody would have 101 dreams floating around in their mind at one time I'm sure. Certainly not this person.
So I'll start with what I have, and as I slowly come up with more dreams, they'll be added to the list.

The Beginning
How did I come up with this idea?
Inspiration came from the nifty little book below:
My book of 101 Dreams. A gift from Mr Fifi, the first half of its instructions are as follows:
As I started to think about my dreams, I started to realise that I could create a fantastic blog around this subject matter. And what better way to keep track of my progress than to share it with the world? (well, my little corner of it anyway!)

Something very powerful happens when you start putting your dreams down on paper. They become real and achievable - and your subconscious mind starts helping you find ways to make them come true. This journal is designed to assist you in the process. To inspire you to dream, moving towards making them all come true.
Start with a brainstorming session using the index pages to list 101 Dreams. Find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted. Put on some music you love. Fill your mind with possibilities... then start writing down your dreams. Make them as big or small as you like. Trust your intuition. Don't edit yourself. Just write down your thoughts, as many as you like, aiming for 101. ~kikki.K
